LThe Arte&Mani Deaf Italy Onlus company, in collaboration with the Immaginaria cooperative, will present, on September 25th at the Alma d'Arte Civic School, the show “Covid Life”, a new original and unpublished show in LIS and Italian, the “child” of this pandemic.

The new production of the Arte&Mani company, “Covid Life”, is a show born from an original idea by Dario Pasquarella, founder of the Teatro Sordo LIS, that is, a form of inclusive theatre in which LIS (Italian Sign Language) and Italian are treated equally, with an equal possibility of linguistic and emotional expression.
Arte&Mani – Deaf Italy Onlus is an Association formed by deaf and hearing people who work together, with commitment, to present to the public a completely accessible show, signed and spoken, based on an original dramaturgy. The common goal is to promote and enhance deaf culture, while creating an experimental and innovative theater, in continuous evolution.
What the series is about?
Locked up in their apartment and testing positive for Covid, Dario and Davide retrace and compare what it was (and is) to live in the time of a global pandemic. An overview from two different points of view, the Deaf and the hearing. Stereotypes and anecdotes of everyday life that represent the positive and negative sides of this situation. Without being able to leave the house and forced to live together 24/XNUMX, the two roommates can't stand each other and every excuse is useful to light the fuse of a new argument. The Christmas holidays have just ended and the laziness of the "cabin" syndrome contrasts with the desire to go out, escape and return to
finally be free. The difficulties with work, linked to the fluctuating functioning of the network, are food for thought on the global future and the young students with whom Dario and Davide work daily. Will the two protagonists be able to adapt and reinvent themselves? Will everything really be okay or is it all a conspiracy, a fiction?
