On November 3, 2020, after having fought his battle against Covid with courage and dignity, the well-known Neapolitan entrepreneur Bruno Turrà left us at the age of 70.
The restrictions imposed by the pandemic prevented those who knew and esteemed him from bidding him farewell and today, a year later, his wife Gaia Morace and his children Andrea and Benedetta, (through) together with the newspaper cronachedellacampania.it wish to pay homage to him by retracing the stages of his human and professional career.
Anyone who knew Bruno Turrà knows that restricting the field of his interests to rigid boundaries risks drawing a partial and incomplete portrait of him;
Lawyer, bank manager and trade unionist but also a poet awarded for his poems with the prestigious Sciacca prize and awarded with the degree in Letters Honoris Causa for literary merits, by the Pontzen Academy.
Committed to social and political activities, owner of the largest amusement park in southern Italy, philanthropist, shipowner and great sportsman, building contractor with the construction of over 2000 homes in the province of Naples alone.
President of the tourism sector of Api, committed to the redevelopment and development of the local territory, subsequently regional President of Confidi Api Campania which, with its activity, guaranteed access to credit for small and medium-sized enterprises.
His last passion was the promotion and protection of the environmental, archaeological and cultural heritage of the Phlegraean area, which he promoted through the management of a farm, engaged in eco-sustainable and organic projects with the aim of raising awareness of the very current issues of sustainability.
All done with the passion and enthusiasm of a child;
Always ready to take on challenges, even the demanding ones.
He deeply loved his city and, unlike many entrepreneurs, he chose to invest his time and resources to improve the magnificent but difficult territory of Campania, a land with great potential, too often mortified.
He loved young people very much and, as a father of five children, he felt the precise duty to create jobs, to generate new opportunities and to prevent the flight of talent to other nations, to train a ruling class, cultured and prepared, capable of implementing those development policies essential to the relaunch of our territory.
His visionary gaze, his bold and far-sighted nature and his natural trust towards others, made him still eager to undertake new challenges, unable to feel satisfied, despite the numerous goals achieved and not without some physiological disappointment, always faced with great dignity and without ever affecting the desire to look positively to the future.
A present and loving father, he left his children, through his example, the great teaching that correctness and honesty always pay off, and that perseverance and commitment always lead to great results.
His family was in fact his strong point, the driving force and support of all his projects, today the guardian of his values and testimony to his principles as a man of other times.
Bruno Turrà leaves a deep and tangible mark on civil society for his undisputed professional value, for his concrete contribution to the planning of a solid and stable economy and even more an unfillable void among the many who knew and appreciated him for his moral qualities and for his values and principles.
Bruno Turrà should be remembered for having dedicated his entire life to the relaunch of his territory to which he still had so much to give.
