OPolice operation at Buvero where 2 smugglers were arrested. The police seized approximately 386 kg. of contraband cigarettes.
Yesterday morning, during their territorial control service, officers from the General Prevention Office, passing through via Lorenzo Giustiniani, noticed two men who, at the sight of them, hastily returned inside a building.
The police followed them and, with the support of other patrols, entered the building; furthermore, while climbing the stairs of the building in search of the two, they heard loud footsteps coming from the attic.
The operators immediately went to the upper floor where they stopped them and also found 38 boxes containing 1908 cartons and 5 packets of foreign manufactured tobacco without the State Monopoly mark for a weight of approximately 386 kg.
Pasquale Bellissimo and Davide Romano, Neapolitans aged 20 and 34 with criminal records, were arrested for smuggling foreign manufactured tobacco.
