The oldest heart of the monumental complex of Donnaregina will be the itinerary of the next appointment of 'Federico II opens the Courts with the FAI'.
The initiative will allow those who wish to visit the splendid buildings of the Neapolitan University accompanied by exceptional guides: students of Federico II and volunteers of the FAI.
After the success of the first meeting, which brought visitors into the historic headquarters of the oldest secular University in the world, on Saturday 21 May 2022 we will return to the historic center.
The Donnaregina complex, in its oldest part, which houses the headquarters of the School of Specialization in Architectural and Landscape Heritage of the Federico II University. From Largo Donnaregina you will continue to stop and admire the cloister of Sanfelice, the fourteenth-century church of Donnaregina, the Sepulchre of Mary of Hungary by Tino di Camaino, the Loffredo Chapel, the nuns' choir and the Abbess' apartment.
Visitors will also be told the story of the complex and the recovery of the precious site, the only one not contaminated in the Baroque era, through the restoration of Gino Chierici.
The visit is free and open to all and will last approximately one hour, with the first tour starting at 10am and the last tour at 15.15pm for groups of 25 people, with entrances every 45 minutes.

Guided tours in foreign languages are planned by the FAI Ponte tra culture Group (English, Ukrainian, Russian, Spanish, French). It will be possible to request them directly on site at the FAI desk.

The opening of the Federico II campuses to the city aims to amplify the vocation of the city university, typical of Federico II, highlighting the strong bond it has with the territory. 'Federico II opens the Courts with the FAI' is part of a series of events that, in view of the celebrations for its 800th anniversary, which will take place on 5 June 2024, will involve the entire metropolitan area.
