Naples, a young woman was brutally attacked for trivial reasons in Borgo Sant'Antonio after she accidentally stomped another woman. A witness: "They tried to strangle her, we had to intervene to prevent further damage."
Uncontrolled urban violence is increasingly prevalent in the streets of Naples.
In Borgo Sant'Antonio Abate , around 17 p.m. on Saturday, a young woman exited a shop and accidentally stepped on the foot of a black girl her age who was with a friend. She promptly apologized but was attacked, first verbally and then physically, by the two women, who accused her of having done it on purpose.
Within seconds, the victim was hit with a barrage of slaps and punches, and one of the attackers put her hands around her throat, attempting to strangle her. Only the intervention of bystanders prevented further harm, as the two girls fled into the village's alleys. Meanwhile, the 118 ambulance arrived and took the victim to Villa Betania.
"With the help of the many people present at that time in Borgo Sant'Antonio, we must immediately identify the perpetrators of the attack to prevent them from causing further harm. My condolences go out to the victim, who returned home last night with fractured ribs and difficulty swallowing due to the trauma, and I wish her a speedy recovery." This was announced by Europa Verde regional councilor Francesco Emilio Borrelli, who was notified of the incident by the Borgo's merchants.
"They tried to strangle her," claims a local shopkeeper who came to the victim's aid , "and we intervened with some bystanders to prevent further damage. It all happened in a matter of seconds. Just enough time to notice the altercation between the three girls, and the beating began immediately. There was no racial motive; it was just a simple stomping incident that often happens in a crowded place like this."
We know the victim and she is a very good girl, she would never have done anything offensive to anyone. Unfortunately she returned home on Saturday evening from Villa Betania, where she had been taken by 118, with several injuries and a lot of fear. We hope to see her recover as soon as possible”.
