He had left from grottaminarda the tourist bus caught fire shortly after 16 pm on the A16 Naples-Canosa in the Monteforte Irpino area, on the stretch towards Naples between Avellino Ovest and Baiano. The occupants, 26 passengers including the driver, workers assigned to road maintenance on the A16, managed to escape before the flames engulfed the vehicle.
Very scary, but fortunately no consequences. The flames, which completely destroyed the bus, spread to the surrounding vegetation.
The highway, blocked for a few hours in the direction of the capital of Naples, was reopened to traffic after the operations of extinguishing and securing the roadway by the firefighters of the Avellino detachment. The workers left with a replacement bus.
