Naples. The new Marino clan of the Celestial Houses dismantled: 6 arrests
The agents of the Flying Squad and the Scampia and Giugliano-Villaricca Police Stations have executed a precautionary custody order issued at the request of the Naples District Anti-Mafia Directorate against Crescenzo Marino, born in Naples on 18.03.1997, Magdalene Emperor, born in Naples on 31.12.1982, Lorenzo Celetano, born in Naples on 3.05.1995, Mariano Isaiah, born in Naples on 4.01.1975, born in Naples on 6.10.1977, Raffaele Barretta, born in Naples on 03.07.1979, Mario Actress, born in Naples on 22.05.1983.
They are all considered seriously suspected of the crime under art. 416 bis of the Criminal Code, for having associated themselves and thus having formed a Camorra association called the “Marino clan” which takes advantage of the intimidating power of the associative bond and the conditions of subjugation and silence that derive from it, operating in the Neapolitan neighborhoods of Secondigliano and Scampia.
The provision was issued by Court of Naples, District Section Review of Restrictive Measures on Personal Freedom and Seizures, following the appeal presented by the local District Anti-Mafia Directorate and became enforceable after the appeal to the Supreme Court presented by the defendants was declared inadmissible.
The complex investigative activity had been started in order to capture the then fugitive Roberto Manganiello, hit by a restrictive measure issued by the Court of Naples because he is seriously suspected of the crimes of double homicide aggravated by mafia methods, illegal carrying and illegal possession of weapons.
The aforementioned were reported because they were believed to be participants in the criminal organization called “Clan Marino”, which operates in the public housing complex in Naples-Scampia called “Case Celesti”.
The measure carried out is a precautionary measure, ordered during preliminary investigations, against which appeals are permitted, and the recipients of the same are people subjected to investigations and therefore presumed innocent until a final sentence is reached.
