From Gregorio (EAV): 'Resign? Only if De Luca asks me to. Workers and unions on my side'
“My resignation? Only in two cases. If the president of the Region asks me to or if I decide to because I get tired or exhausted or I think it could be useful for the company”.
This is what Umberto De Gregorio, president of Eav, the regional holding company for public transport in Campania, says. The company manages, among other things, the former Circumvesuviana line, which has recently been accused several times for its continuous poor service.
De Gregorio intervenes through a note released by the press office of the public transport company.
“Are the workers and the unions against me? Absolutely not. Maybe a hundred employees (data from the last strike) out of over 3 thousand and a couple of unions out of eight are against me. No more. With the others – adds the president of Eav – there is collaboration, esteem and respect, in a strong dialectic and in respect of roles”.
