Vietri Festival Ceramica Femminile Matres: here are the winners of the international event.
The International Festival of Women's Ceramics "Matres" has just concluded with great success. For four days it animated the cities of Vietri sul Mare and Cava de' Tirreni, laying the foundations for a future event increasingly rich in events and green ceramics in Campania, thanks to an operational platform and a public-private partnership, ideas that were launched during the conference "Ceramics and the Environment" held as part of Matres.
Organized by Aps Pandora Artiste Ceramiste – an association chaired by Anna Rita Fasano – with the patronage of the Campania Region, in collaboration with the municipalities of Cava de' Tirreni and Vietri sul Mare, the CNA of Salerno and the KWCA, Matres had the theme “Naturantis”, to underline the need to discuss the theme of nature and green identity, bringing about a cultural and social change through ceramic material.
A subject that unites women dedicated to ceramics all over the world, as witnessed yesterday evening in the council chamber of the municipality of Vietri sul Mare, crowded with protagonists of the Festival coming - in addition to Italy - from Belgium, France, Austria, Spain, Greece, Ireland, Sweden, Croatia, Lithuania, Germany, Malta, Czech Republic, United Kingdom, Russia, Israel, Holland, Switzerland, Poland, Tunisia, Algeria, Iran, Iraq, Argentina, Brazil, Chile, South Korea, North America, Thailand, India and South Africa.
The final event saw Stefania Spanedda win the first prize “Matres Visioni”; the Design competition was won by Patrizio Bartoloni; the Raku prize was awarded to Jubica Lovrencic (Croatia). The awards ceremony took place in the presence of the regional councilor for professional training Armida Filippelli, the regional councilor for the Budget, Franco Picarone, the mayor of Vietri sul Mare Giovanni De Simone, the president of CNA Salerno, Lucio Ronca, Simona Paolillo, recently appointed director of CNA Salerno and Anna Rita Fasano, president of the Pandora association, deus ex machina of the extraordinary Matres Festival, to whom the audience wanted to dedicate a long round of applause to thank her for the commitment she put into the realization of the event.
