A fire destroys 3 hectares of woodland in the Partenio Regional Park due to the carelessness of a 55-year-old. Reported by the Carabinieri
We are in the Partenio Regional Park, in a portion of the municipality of Roccarainola that acts as a watershed between the provinces of Naples and Benevento. The flames spread rapidly and destroyed many trees before being extinguished by the firefighters and the carabinieri.
The latter, the local forestry station's military, found that the fire had started on a land belonging to a '67 man. The area had not been cleaned and maintained to prevent the danger of fires. The man was reported for arson and administratively fined.
