Illness onboard a tug at the port of Ancona, this morning, where a 41-year-old first officer died. The man, originally from Napoli, was in his accommodation, on the vessel “Blue boy”, anchored at pier 1, near the Arch of Trajan, when at around 6 am he began to feel unwell.
Colleagues on board noticed that something was wrong and tried to help him, also calling 118. The medical assistance that arrived on board the tug, which have not managed to restart the heart of the sailor.
