Naples . Summer and the holidays are coming to an end, but the dangerous trend of putting minors and even small children behind the wheel of speedboats is far from over . In the last 24 hours, Regional Councilor Francesco Emilio Borrelli of Europa Verde, who first raised the alarm about the phenomenon, has received further reports from residents.
One, in particular, involves a little girl, while the other involves a little boy at the controls of a motorboat. “We are increasingly convinced – commented Borrelli – that these parents are terrible educators for their children.
To save these children from miseducation and illegality, we must intervene. Those who put minors at the helm of boats, perhaps in unbridled, immoderate and shameless luxury, not only endanger their own family and others but educate their children not to respect the rules, not to care about anything and direct them towards false and corrupt values.
The money (we do not know if it was obtained legally or not) is not used to guarantee safety at sea and does not prevent tragedies. The institutions must absolutely stop this phenomenon".
