Castel Volturno . A 36-year-old Nigerian woman convicted of human trafficking and prostitution received a seven-year prison sentence in Pozzuoli .
The Carabinieri of the Mondragone Territorial Department were able to track down the woman with a criminal record, who is illegally staying in Italy and wanted on a prison order issued by the criminal enforcement office of the Attorney General's Office at the Court of Appeal of Catania, following targeted investigations in the Castel Volturno area.
According to the magistrates, the woman was operating on behalf of an organised group engaged in criminal activities in more than one country and, in detail, crimes were committed in Licodia Eubea up until 2014.
