San Sebastiano. Couple with citizen income caught with drugs in their home. Two anti-drug blitzes for the Carabinieri of the Torre del Greco company and 3 people arrested.
The first episode takes place in Portici and the one who ends up in handcuffs is Pasquale Lucarella, a 47-year-old local already known to the police. The soldiers of the local station noticed him and stopped him while he was giving a dose of cocaine to a "client" at the intersection of Via Palizzi and Piazzale Brunelleschi. Arrested, he is awaiting trial.
The other two arrests took place in San Sebastiano al Vesuvio. The Carabinieri visited the home of 34-year-old Anna Salomone and 40-year-old Salvatore Ricciardi. The two – cohabitants – are locals and already known to the police.
During the search, the Carabinieri found and seized a marijuana plant about 3 meters high. A "tree of illicit" irrigated thanks to an illegal connection to the electricity grid. The two, in fact, will not only be charged with growing narcotics but also with stealing electricity. The plant was being grown and powered by an automatic system connected to the meter that only recorded 30% of actual consumption.
The couple is awaiting trial and has also been reported to INPS for the relevant measures: the Carabinieri have in fact ascertained that the two were receiving citizen's income.
