Eugenio Bennato in concert for a Scampia, “Progress through culture”

The concert “Qualcuno sulla Terra” by Eugenio Bennato for the review “Scampia – Progress through Culture”, organized by Ancem – Association Naples European Capital of Music directed by Filippo Zigante, thanks to the support of the Municipality of Naples, and the moral patronage of the Youth Policies Department of the Municipality of Naples and the Eighth Municipality, and the coordination of schools and territory by Sabrina Innocenti.
“Qualcuno sulla terra” is the latest recording by Eugenio Bennato, who directs the vocal ensemble “Le Voci del Sud” – composed of Letizia D'Angelo (soprano), Daniela Dentato (mezzo-soprano), Laura Cuomo (contralto), Francesco Luongo (tenor), Angelo Plaitano (baritone), Edoardo Cartolano (bass), Ezio Lambiase (classical guitar) – on a journey through the seven days of Creation, with a high spiritual value. The festival will continue with the show “Unico Viviani” (November 3), “Musica Libera Tutti”, the children's and youth orchestra of the Hurtado Center (November 5), “Theatricality in Naples – from the 500th to the 700th century” (November 11), “Neapolitan Christmas songs” (Saturday, November 19) and the duo Marcella Parziale – Giuseppina Coni in “Salotto primo '900” (Saturday, November 26). Four events in December with the ballet “Carmen” (Saturday 3 December), the performance of the duo composed of Linda Hedlund's violin and Francesco Nicolosi's piano (Sunday 4 December), and the concerts of the Kharkov Symphony Orchestra for the event “Scampia meets Ukraine” (Tuesday 13 December) and of the Junior Vertical Orchestra composed of the young people of the Eighth Municipality (18 December).
