The Musical Autumn continues in Capua with a weekend of great music including rarities and cornerstones of the chamber repertoire.
A high-level weekend, discovering unpublished pieces by Giovanni Simone Mayr, an important Italian opera composer and Donizetti's maestro, performed by the Caserta Chamber Orchestra conducted by Antonino Cascio, with pianist Bruno Canino, and the complete Beethoven works for cello and piano performed by Uladzimir Sinkevich, the cellists of the Berliner Philarmoniker, and pianist Olivier Triendl.
Friday 14 October (20 pm) in the Church of Gesù Gonfalone in Capua, the first appointment of the weekend with the Caserta Chamber Orchestra, conducted by Antonino Cascio and pianist Bruno Canino; on the program are two concerts for piano and orchestra and two symphonies by Giovanni Simone Mayr, an important German opera composer naturalized Italian, also Donizetti's first maestro. The event, included in the "Discovery" cycle, will be recorded on a record in the following days.
Bruno Canino was born in Naples. He studied piano and composition at the Milan Conservatory, where he taught for 24 years. As a soloist and chamber pianist he has played in the main concert halls and festivals in the world. He plays in a piano duo with Antonio Ballista and collaborates with illustrious instrumentalists. From 1999 to 2002 he was the director of the Music Section of the Venice Biennale. He has dedicated himself in particular to contemporary music.
Founded and directed by Antonino Cascio, the Caserta Chamber Orchestra has collaborated with well-known soloists, participated in important festivals and concert seasons in Italy and abroad and proposed programs linked to its research activity.
On Saturday 15 October (19,30 pm) and Sunday 16 October (18 pm), at the Museo Campano in Capua, Uladzimir Sinkevich, cellist of the Berliner Philarmoniker and the pianist Olivier Triendl will propose, as part of the “Beethoven Project”, the complete sonatas and variations of the Author.
Uladzimir Sinkevich, cellist of the Berliner Philarmoniker, has already been a guest of Autunno Musicale with the Caserta Chamber Orchestra and subsequently for the complete Schuman and Brahms for cello and piano. This is a great return, therefore, for the complete Beethoven on 15 and 16 October. Sinkevich studied cello in Minsk, Hannover and Berlin. In 2012 he won first prize at the Isang International Competition in Korea. He plays a cello by Giovanni Battista Grancino (Milan, ca. 1700) entrusted to him by the Musikleben Foundation in Hamburg. From 2011 to 2022 he was first cello of the Munich Radio Orchestra and is currently a member of the Berliner Philarmoniker.
Oliver Triendl, originally from Mallersdorf, Bavaria, is a prize-winner at numerous national and international competitions. He has performed successfully at festivals and in many of the major music centers of Europe, as well as in North and South America, South Africa, Russia and Asia, collaborating with renowned orchestras. A passionate chamber musician, his vast repertoire includes 90 piano concertos and hundreds of chamber music pieces, and he has recorded 100 CDs.
