The evening of covers and duets, the fourth of the Festival, saw the triumph of Marco Mengoni, ahead of Ultimo, Lazza, Giorgia and Mr Rain.
A victory that strengthens Mengoni's first position in the general ranking, in an evening that does not disappoint expectations and on the Ariston stage sees the 28 singers in the competition alternate with an equal number of artists, in some cases true 'sacred monsters' of music, who make the audience dance, sing, dream and be moved.
As if to move everyone is Peppino di Capri, super guest, who sings 'Champagne' receiving two standing ovations. Enthusiasm also for the return of maestro Beppe Vessicchio, who co-directs the orchestra during the duet between Gianluca Grignani and Arisa on the notes of 'Destinazione Paradiso', one of the most beautiful of the evening.

Giorgia and Elisa are amazing singing together 'Luce' and 'Di Sole e d'azzurro' and receive a long applause from the audience, all standing. Magic with Marco Mengoni singing 'Let it be' accompanied by the Kingdom Choir.
But there were many moments to remember, Biagio Antonacci singing 'Vorrei cantare come Biagio' with Tananai and Don Joe, or Eros Ramazzotti, who received a great tribute from the audience and was the protagonist of an unscheduled performance, forgetting the words at the beginning of a song from the medley sung with Ultimo, who came to his rescue. "It's the emotion," says Eros.
Great rhythm on 'La notte vola', with a sensational Lorella Cuccarini accompanying Olly, while Michele Zarrillo sings with Will and at the end of the performance says: "Can I say something for which I take responsibility? We must be afraid when freedom, civil rights and human rights are not defended".
Emma duets with Lazza, Ariete with Sangiovanni remembers Franco Battiato. Elodie with Big Mama on the notes of 'American woman', Edoardo Bennato sings with Leo Gassmann his medley and makes everyone dance, Articolo 31 with Fedez on the notes of their greatest hits shouting "Giorgia, legalizzala!", and you can see the newfound harmony between Fedez and J-Ax. Carla Bruni accompanies Colapesce and Dimartino on the notes of 'Azzurro'.
And her husband, former French president Nicolas Sarkozy, accompanies his wife to the Ariston, keeps her company in the dressing room, getting her excited for her performance, then when she goes on stage he has her accompany him to the stalls, watches the performance and then has her accompany him straight back to the dressing room.
Here comes 'Anima mia' with Cugini di Campagna performing with Paolo Vallesi. The performances follow one another without interruption, there is gIANMARIA accompanied by Manuel Agnelli, then Mr Rain with Fasma for 'Qualcosa di grande'. It is Madame's turn with Izi who revives De Andrè with 'Via del campo'.
Coma_Cose with Baustelle sing 'Sarà perché ti amo', followed by Rosa Chemical with Rose Villain. Anna Oxa confirms that she has a truly super voice with her Emozione da poco. And Paola and Chiara's Vamos a bailar really makes the whole Ariston dance.
