At the Mann in Naples this morning from 9,30:13,30 to XNUMX:XNUMX there will be initiatives on the occasion of World Epilepsy Day.
The event is organized by the Campania Epilepsy Association Odv with the regional reference center for epilepsy of the Federico II University Hospital.
The association ECO Epilessie Campania ODV, which embraces the intent, thanks to the commitment of the President Rossella Giaquinto, the Vice President Anna Stilo and the Secretary Maria Rosaria Annunziata, has activated a network of solidarity, humanity and benevolence around the needs of those who suffer and those who often live with an uncomfortable and annoying pathology, sharing outcomes and perspectives on this occasion.
All important premises, which see collaboration and availability open doors of solidarity, such as those of the MANN - National Archaeological Museum of Naples - where the meeting will be held on February 13, in the conference room, from 9:30 to 13:30, thanks to the sensitivity of the Director Paolo Giulierini, for the most awaited party by those suffering from Epilepsy, for a moment of dissemination and sharing with schools, institutions, the territory and health.
The event is sponsored by the Campania Region, the Municipality of Naples, and the Italian League Against Epilepsy, LICE, but also by the LICE Foundation and the CSV Naples.
In particular, the Regional Reference Epilepsy Center directed by Prof. Leonilda Bilo, LICE Coordinator for the Campania and Molise macro-area, will be alongside the ECO Epilessie Campania Odv association, with an information program on the pathology for all those present at the conference, which will focus on the difficulty of the epileptic patient in school and work life.
A morning that promises to be intense and that aims to spread knowledge on the complications that often arise when one is epileptic, as well as the efforts that the scientific community of our territory puts at the service of the need.
Activity also underlined by the color purple, thanks to all the Mayors and Councilors of the Campania region, who will illuminate the most important monuments of their towns with the color symbol of epilepsy, and to individual citizens and professionals, such as the Studio Gaeta of Chartered Accountants and Auditors of Naples, who supported and supported the event.
As symbolically shown also by the image of the day, an iconic drawing made by the illustrator Irma Ruggiero that represents an ordinary heroine, in normal clothes, but armed with a cape and suction cups, which recall tangles or moments of crisis, while the beam of light illuminates the path to… 'go on stage'… like at the Archaeological Museum, despite everything, to show the best of herself between smiles and a great desire to be.
