The technical heritage service of the Municipality of NAPLES and the technicians of Napoliservizi carried out an inspection today in the Prince Gallery of NAPLES, where yesterday a collapse of rubble occurred. During the inspection the area to be inspected and the method to carry out the operations were determined.
At the end it was decided to expand the area closed to traffic that corresponds to the entire facade of the Gallery and is no longer limited only to the collapsed area, and to place the necessary horizontal road signs. The section affected by the collapse is significant, about 3 linear meters, while there are no visible signs of ongoing collapse on the rest of the facade.
For this reason, the Municipality of NAPLES informs, it is essential to carry out a check using a platform and basket (spider) on the entire surface. In a short time, Napoliservizi will identify the company and assign the intervention that will require two nights, with traffic prohibited in the affected lane, in order to ascertain, with a close inspection on the entire facade, the presence of other possible points of incipient collapse.
