He pretends to be a Carabinieri marshal and defrauds an elderly woman. For this reason, the military of the Lecce Santa Rosa station have executed a precautionary custody order under house arrest issued by the Court of Lecce - GIP section, at the request of the Public Prosecutor's Office, against a 45-year-old, originally from and resident in Naples, held responsible for the crime of aggravated fraud against an 88-year-old woman.
Last November, the victim had been reached at home by the man, the spokesperson of terrible news: her son was in prison and a lot of money was needed to regain his freedom. The woman handed over her valuables: a necklace, the rings she wore on her finger, all in the presence of her 92-year-old husband. The swindler then fled without however going unnoticed by the elderly couple's neighbors.
From there a second request, with a phone call to the unfortunate woman in which a supposed Carabinieri marshal reassured the woman because the scammer had been stopped: all false. The story was carefully reconstructed by the Carabinieri, who managed to trace the scammer and then put the handcuffs on his wrists
