Homage to Federico Salvatore, Mario Paciolla, Giulia Tramontano.
Gianni Simioli, who curated the artistic direction of Napolindie and announces a second edition, confirms himself as a cultural aggregator capable of bringing together different worlds and making them coexist in harmony. With this great event he made concrete the project of Lello Ferrillo and Genny Mosca to create an Arena del Sound that was a space for cultural dissemination. 10.000 people gathered on the large sand of Flava Beach to watch and participate in an extraordinary show made of music and important moments of reflection with tributes to Federico Salvatore, Mario Paciolla and Giulia Tramontano.
The three writers Maurizio de Giovanni, Pino Aprile and Angelo Forgione brought the pride of the South to the stage, recounting the greatness and wealth of Naples and Campania, giving space, in their speeches, to the wonderful conquest of the third championship and capturing the attention of the enormous audience. At Napolindie, also the association Castel Volturno per la Legalità Domenico Noviello, dedicated to the memory of the entrepreneur originally from San Cipriano d'Aversa, killed on May 16, 2008 in Baia Verde for having opposed the extortion demands of the Casalesi clan. On the stage, some activists of the association chaired by Luigi Ferrucci, recalled the importance of the fight against the Camorra.
Their presences intertwined with music. So much music that overwhelmed the Arena del Sound like a wave. Tartaglia Aneuro, together with his iconic song “Le Range Fellone”, paid homage to Federico Salvatore with “Se io fossi San Gennaro”; the very young rapper Plug proposed a live preview of some songs from his new Ep “Cristallo” – “Sticky”, “Ora”, “Love U”, “New York”, “Come me” – and his single “Sincero”; with Peppe Oh comes the first memory of Mario Paciolla (mentioned several times during the event) and the exclusive live version of “Si me sienta” to which “Chesta Nott” was added; explosive mash up with Dadà and then La Niña, who inflames the audience with her voice and her sensuality: among the songs also “Tu” recorded with Franco Ricciardi and “Famme chell che vuo”.
On the occasion of Napolindie, La Famiglia, a historic rap group founded by Alberto “Polo” Cretara, reunited, offering a journey back in time with their “Mazz e panell”, “E uno, due, tre, quattro”, “Odissea”, “Amici”, “Prr”. With Tommaso Primo, “Viola” and “Gioia” arrive, and “Madonna Nera” also arrives, sung with La Maschera, to whom he leaves the stage. A woman from the audience asks La Maschera “Sotto a chi tene core” for Giulia Tramontano and this song is also joined by “La confessione” and “Pullecenella” (their first song). With Jovine, the sound becomes reggae and we dance with “Napulitan”, “Tutto vero” (a song that is a hymn to the championship) and “O reggae 'e Maradona”. An overwhelming closing with 99 Posse and “Stop that Train”, “Curre curre guaglio”, “Combat reggae” and the medley “Salario”-“Ripetutamente”-“Rafaniello”- “All'Antimafia”.
A huge and transversal crew on stage. Completing an excellent cast, Ste, Daniele Sepe, Blue Staff (the return), Ciccio Merolla, Coco, Ebbanesis, Napoleone, Gino Fastidio (funk project), Vincenzo Bles, Roberto Lama, Vesuviano and La Famelle, Libera Velo, Ki Nameless Bi, Voga. Space also for the DJ sets of Dj Foofy, Jesoria, Jude, Ucantkillme and Dj Juno.
