La Serie A League announced today the MVP of Serie A 2022/2023The best Under 23, goalkeeper, defender, midfielder and attacker will receive the trophy on the pitch on the last day of the championship.
The rankings were drawn up taking into account the advanced analyses of Stats Perform, created starting from the tracking data recorded with the Hawk-Eye system. The rating system, patented in 2010 with K-Sport and scientifically validated, considers not only statistical data and technical events, but also positional data.
This allows us to analyze crucial aspects such as movement without the ball and therefore optimal movements, game choices, the contribution to the technical and physical efficiency of the team, which allow an objective and qualitative evaluation of the performance. For the final calculation, all the matches played in Serie A were considered (with the exception of the 38th matchday).
These are the best footballers of the season according to the Serie A: Best Under 23: Nicolo Fagioli (Juventus); best goalkeeper: Iván Provedel (Lazio); best defender: minjae kim (Naples); best midfielder: Nicolo Barella (Inter); best striker: Victor Osimhen (Napoli). Khvisha Kvaratskhelia, finally, was awarded as MVP overall of the 2022/23 season.
