The new wave of continues heat and the first red dots appear in the bulletin of the Ministry of Health.

Rome and Rieti are the cities most affected by the heat today, while heat waves are expected in 8 cities tomorrow: the two cities in Lazio are joined by Bolzano, Florence, Frosinone, Latina, Perugia and Turin.

For Wednesday 12 July the ministry confirms the red dot for Rome and Rieti (the only cities with the red dot for three consecutive days) and in Florence, Frosinone, Latina, Perugia. Wednesday will be the first day of red dot for Bologna.

Today, again according to the bulletin on heat waves from the Ministry of Health, in addition to the 2 cities 'in red' there are 11 with an orange dot, which indicates the health risk for the most fragile. All with a yellow dot (pre-alert heat status) the other urban centers, except Bari and Reggio Calabria which remain in 'green', which certifies the absence of risk.

Tomorrow there are six cities indicated with the color orange and Wednesday four, Genoa and Naples are the only 'green'. Started in mid-May, the service of the Ministry of Health is elaborated by the Department of Epidemiology of the Regional Health Service (Ssr) of Lazio, which assigns a sticker indicative of the risk.

Level 3 (red), in particular, indicates emergency conditions with possible negative effects on the health of healthy and active people and not only on subgroups at risk such as the elderly, very young children and people with chronic diseases. The orange dot, in fact, signals maximum danger for the most fragile, namely the elderly, children and people with chronic diseases.

Yellow indicates pre-alert, for weather conditions that can precede a heat wave. Finally, the green dot indicates the absence of risk for the entire population.
