19-year-old worker Pasquale Sansone died after being injured at work last Monday.
The young man, originally from Sant'Antonio Abate, was working in a coffee roasting company in Scafati when, for reasons still under investigation, he fell from a height of about 5 meters.
A violent impact on the ground that left no escape for the boy who died shortly after being admitted to the intensive care unit of the Umberto I hospital in Nocera Inferiore. The Public Prosecutor's Office of Nocera Inferiore has opened an investigation to ascertain any culprits in the area of workplace safety.
Deep condolences also come from Mayor Ilaria Abbagnale for the loss of Pasquale: ”We have spent days in prayer and hope. Unfortunately, with deep sorrow, I announce the sad news of the loss of the young Pasquale, our fellow citizen, just 19 years old.
Our community thus commemorates another precious young life, for which, as a sign of respect and recognition, a day of mourning will be proclaimed in the city, in conjunction with the funeral. In moments like this, the pain of sudden absences becomes particularly intense.
As we try to cope with this tragedy, we remember Pasquale for his contagious vitality and the joy he brought to our lives, which we will continue to honor with his memory. Our condolences and support go to Pasquale's mother, father, our dear municipal employee, family and friends.
