Yesterday morning, the Hawks of the Flying Squad, during a service to combat predatory crimes, following a note received by the local Operations Room of the police headquarters of Napoli, intervened in via Conte di Ruvo following a report of a robbery involving a motorist.
The same person said that, shortly before, an illegal parking attendant had asked him for 3 euros to park his car and, when he refused, the latter began to hit the passenger compartment of the car with several punches, also managing to violently take possession of his mobile phone and then fled in the direction of Via Bellini.
At that point, the victim, using his partner's cell phone, contacted 113. In fact, the operators, thanks to the descriptions provided by the victim and the collaboration of a patrol car from the Dante Police Station, tracked down and stopped the fugitive in Via Broggia, finding him still in possession of the phone stolen shortly before.
Therefore, a 47-year-old Sri Lankan, with a police record, was arrested for aggravated robbery and attempted extortion. Finally, the smartphone was returned to its owner.
