Shortly after midday today, the Carabinieri of the Sorrento company found the body of a woman who has not yet been fully identified. She was in the trunk of a car, parked in a condominium area in Via San Massimo in Piano di Sorrento.
The woman's body had several stab wounds. Whoever killed her was violent towards the unfortunate woman.
It is clear that this is a femicide. According to some witnesses, the victim was stabbed by a man who, after killing her, locked her in the trunk and fled on a scooter.
The hood of the car was open, the body was visible. It was bleeding, probably from stab wounds. The body has not yet been inspected and we are waiting for the coroner to fully identify it.
A citizen who had probably seen the body in the car called 112. The Carabinieri are on site and are analyzing cameras and collecting testimonies.
At the moment the victim has not yet been identified. The Torre Annunziata Prosecutor's Office has opened an investigation into the case.
