He had decided to “celebrate” his 47th birthday by doing what he usually does to earn a living illegally.
And so yesterday he celebrated with 3 successful thefts, and only one attempted. Not a bad haul for Enrico Langella, who turned 47 yesterday. The Carabinieri of the Sorrento station ruined his celebrations by arresting him for theft and recovered all the stolen goods.
The first hit was in a shop Course Italy. In the bag 3 pairs of flip-flops, 100 euros the total value. Second theft still in Corso Italia but in a perfume shop. 2 of them stolen, 70 euros each the retail price.
Third stop in via Santa Maria delle Grazie where he took away a bag worth 65 euros, deceiving the employees. Another bag in the crosshairs in a craft shop in vicoletto San Cesareo. This time the owner understood his intentions and thwarted the theft.
And thanks to the latter's description, the carabinieri tracked down the 47-year-old and, by analyzing the goods in his possession, reconstructed the other thefts committed. He is now in custody, awaiting trial.
