The hearing in the trial for the death of Hugh Russo, the 15-year-old killed on the night of February 29, 2020, near the village of Santa Lucia, in Napoli, while trying to rob a policeman's watch together with an accomplice.
The Court of Assizes of Napoli decided to postpone the hearing after having accepted the request presented by the civil party's lawyers to sue the civil party responsible, identified as the Ministry of Defense. The postponement - a necessary act - was necessary because in order to regularize the adversarial process between the parties involved, the State Attorney's Office must also take part in the hearing.
Present in the courtroom are Ugo Russo's parents accompanied by their lawyers, Domenico Di Donato, Giovanni Fusco and Antonio Mormile. Absent, this time, is the defendant, accused of aggravated voluntary homicide, who is defended by lawyers Mattia Floccher and Roberto Guida. The public prosecutors are the deputy prosecutors of Naples Simone de Roxas and Claudio Siragusa.
