On the radio from Friday 6 October “L'era dei cantautori” (Maninalto!), the new single by the band Lapolveriera taken from the album “Tempi moderni”.
“The era of singer-songwriters” is the song that describes what more or less all millennials had in their hearts and ears between the ages of 14 and 17. A sincere song that encompasses the last bursts of adolescence lived between meetings, companies, friendships, loves, graffiti, places and actions that, in the eyes of the writer, are about to give way to the imminent arrival of responsibilities and adult life, which we would like to postpone as much as possible. In the meantime, landlines and doorbells give way to cell phones and all the authenticity of life up to that point seems threatened by an imminent collapse. Thus explodes a declaration of war on the future: “We will change one day, but not here.”
BIOGRAPHY
Lapolveriera is an Italian indie rock band with folk and singer-songwriter influences, born in Verona in 2019, formed by Giovanni Maragnoli (guitar, keyboards, vocals), Giovanni Magagna (lead guitar, backing vocals), Michele Fontana (bass) and Riccardo Masenelli (drums). During the first years the band opened concerts for some of the most important artists of the Italian music scene such as Omar Pedrini, Paolo Benvegnù, Federico Poggipollini, Pierpaolo Capovilla (Il Teatro degli Orrori), Maestro Pellegrini (Zen Circus), Giorgio Ciccarelli (Afterhours), Clan Destino, Gigi Cavalli Cocchi, Modena City Ramblers, Gem Boy, Meganoidi, L'Associazione, Vince Pastano & The Noisebreakers, Dead Visions (Francesco Mandelli), Cyborg Zero (The Cyborgs) and also for some international artists such as Jiro Okabe (CJ Ramone, Richie Ramone), Alex Kane (Enuff'Z'Nuff, Life, Sex & Death, Antiproduct) and Jamie Oliver (Ultrabomb, UK Subs). During 2022 the band's first three singles (Radici, Ego, Cemento Rosso) were produced and released, with Omar Pedrini as artistic producer.
The band's debut album entitled "Tempi Moderni" was released on May 5, 2023. Composed of 9 original songs and published by Baldoria/Maninalto! the album is also available in physical copy. In addition to the three singles produced by Omar Pedrini, the title track of the album "Tempi moderni" features Federico Poggipollini on electric guitar and vocals.
