In recent days, a new escalation of telephone scam attempts has been recorded, which is raising widespread concerns among users. This time, the criminals are adopting a particularly ingenious strategy to activate new telephone contracts at the expense of the victims.
The technique used by these scammers is based on illegally obtaining personal data from users. Acting casually, fake telephone operators present themselves as collaborators of the Internet service provider and use specific information regarding the Internet supply to give greater credibility to the call. This element makes the communications more believable, thus attracting the user's trust.
Once a climate of trust has been established, the other end of the phone reports a presumed prolonged interruption in internet supply, justified by network upgrade work, which could last up to 20 days.
During this period, users are warned that they will not be able to use the Internet or telephone service. To avoid this disruption and additional costs, scammers suggest changing providers, suggesting that a simple telephone confirmation will immediately activate a new contract, often without the user's genuine consent.
In such situations, it is advisable to immediately hang up the call and, in case of doubt, contact your provider's customer service to verify the authenticity of the communication received.

This article is interesting but I think people should be careful about these scams. They often don't realize how easy it is for scammers to deceive. It's important for everyone to be careful.
It is worrying that there are more and more phone scams, but you have to be careful and not trust the caller immediately. Often clever techniques are used to scam people. It is better to always check with your provider.
I agree that the situation is serious, but sometimes it is not easy to recognize a scam. Personal information is sensitive and scammers know how to exploit it. We need to educate ourselves more on these issues.
Phone scams are a serious problem, but I think we can do more to inform people about the risks. Maybe awareness campaigns could help prevent these situations.
