We start again with McLaren with the victory of Lando Norris. The first GP of the F1 season was won by the favorite.
Disappointment for Ferrari, with Charles Leclerc and Lewis Hamilton finishing in eighth and tenth place. The podium of the race on the Melbourne circuit in Australia was instead completed by the reigning champion Max Verstappen (Red Bull) and George Russell (Mercedes).
Oscar Piastri with the other McLaren fought until the end with the leaders, but then slipped to ninth place. First time to applaud for the Italian Andrea Kimi Antonelli (Mercedes), who on his debut in F1 placed fifth.
The race was marked by rain and accidents, with the safety car forced to enter several times. The pit stops to change tires moved the leading positions a bit, but in the end everything went according to plan, with Norris triumphing after battling with his teammate Piastri (who then ended up far from the front due to the rain chaos) and Verstappen.
Ferrari never raced, despite a circuit loved by the 'Reds': they had won here twice in the last three years, with Leclerc first in 2022 and Sainz last year. The Monegasque also holds the track record. Italy can console itself with the excellent debut in F1 of Antonelli, fifth as mentioned on arrival, capable of providing emotions with a race in comeback from 16th position. Next GP Sunday 23 March in Shanghai, China.

Although the race was very interesting, Ferrari did not live up to expectations, and it was disappointing to see Leclerc and Hamilton so far behind. Let's hope they can do better in the next race and recover points.
