He calls a retired couple Termoli (Campobasso) pretending to be a lawyer and inventing the story of a serious road accident in which the son of his interlocutors was involved, then asks for money to avoid his arrest.
The man goes to the two's house and manages to get 2.400 euros, but once he leaves the building he runs into the Carabinieri, busy with territorial controls. He immediately tries to get away, but is noticed by the soldiers who first block him and then arrest him in flagrante delicto for fraud.
The protagonist of the episode is a 44 year old Napoli, stopped with money in his pocket. The Carabinieri were able to reconstruct the incident very quickly and return the money to the elderly couple. The Court of Larino (Campobasso) validated the restrictive measure, ordering the man to remain in the Naples area.
The arrest in flagrante for fraud against the elderly, the Carabinieri of Termoli report, is the second in Italy since the beginning of the year.
