To allow for technical checks inside the Montevetrano I and Montevetrano II tunnels, traffic restrictions are necessary – at night – along the A2 Autostrada del Mediterraneo, in the territory of San Mango Piemonte, in the province of Salerno.
In detail, on Monday 27, Tuesday 28 and Wednesday 29, between 22:00 p.m. and 06:00 a.m. the following day, the A2 will be closed to traffic, northbound, from km 18,820 to km 8,500, with a mandatory exit from the motorway northbound from km 18,820 (Pontecagnano Nord junction) to km 8,500 (Fratte/Salerno junction) with the simultaneous closure of the northbound entrance ramp of the A2 at the Pontecagnano Nord junction and the simultaneous closure of the northbound entrance/exit ramp of the A2 at the S. Mango Piemonte junction.
Traffic heading north will be diverted with a mandatory exit from the motorway at the Pontecagnano Nord junction (km 18,820), and will continue on the SS 18/88 Tangenziale di SALerno until the Fratte/SAlerno junction (km 8,500) in the direction of A2, re-entering the motorway and from the Fratte junction entering the A2 towards A30 ROME; Avellino; A3 Naples; Salerno Centre; Port of Salerno. The closure of the motorway will also affect the AGIP service area of Salerno Est.
