The official Simonetta Calcaterra, who is part of the prefectural commission responsible for the administration of the Municipality of Caivano, raised the alarm during a meeting at the parish of San Paolo al Parco Verde organized by Don Maurizio Patriciello, which was also attended by the Attorney General of Naples, Nicola Gratteri.
Calcaterra reported that some employees resigned as soon as they learned of their arrival, while others called in sick to avoid positions of responsibility. Furthermore, no one showed up for the oral exam of the competition for a permanent position.
This situation represents a challenge to restore normalcy in the municipal administration. The Prefectural Commission, established on October 18, reported serious difficulties in restarting the activities of the Municipality.
Some employees of the Municipality of Caivano resigned as soon as they learned of our arrival, others not long after we took office, others are taking sick leave to avoid taking on positions of responsibility, and no one showed up for the oral exam of the competition we announced for a permanent position, for which several applications had been submitted.
They have in fact requested 31 professional figures from the Department of Public Function, but the initiative was not successful. Despite the difficulties, Carcaterra has assured that the town hall will always be open for citizens.
The hiring of new employees could take place at the beginning of next year, following selections that should start soon. The Commission intends to announce a new competition and hopes that this time things will be different.
