All set for Il canto di Partenope, the music festival that pays homage to the history of Neapolitan music between past and present, organized by Callysto Aps, with the artistic direction of Fabio Micera.
The festival will be structured into seven days of events during which the most talented young people of the area will be invited to perform, those who represent the Mediterranean fusion and musical innovation and important artists closely linked to Neapolitan music and the repertoires of classical Neapolitan music, from Murolo to Bruni.
Seven days that do not aim only at mere musical entertainment but, above all, at the dissemination of music and the breaking down of any generational barrier.
All events will be free and bookable through the Eventbrite platform, and will be held in Naples, at the Asterix Center in via Domenico Atripaldi, 52.
It is part of the 16th December 20:30 pm with a group that needs no great introduction: I Neri per caso. The event sold out within hours of the announcement. The most famous a cappella group on the Italian scene became known to the public in 1995 by winning the “Nuove Proposte” section of the Sanremo Festival. The song “Le ragazze” catapulted them to the top of the charts, leading the album of the same name to conquer 6 platinum records with almost 700.000 copies sold. Today “I neri per caso” have almost thirty years of career behind them and can boast collaborations with the greatest exponents of Italian music: from Mango to Lucio Dalla, passing through Mia Martini, Ornella Vanoni, Renato Zero and many others. Since 2015, Daniele Blaquier has joined the historic members Ciro Caravano, Gonzalo Caravano, Mimì Caravano, Mario Crescenzo and Massimo de Divitiis.
Il 21th December 20:30 pm The Song of the Sirens, a show by the Accademia Pricomusica, which starts with the women sung by Roberto Murolo and Sergio Bruni, and then immerses itself in the discovery of the singer-songwriter, a heritage of humanity: usually poignant, usually famous, usually immortal. The Janara, the washerwoman, Santa Lucia, Partenope, are just some of the women who enclose the female imaginative universe and who unite the sacred and the profane. The woman, recipient of love songs, in this show becomes the protagonist and interpreter of a repertoire that has enchanted the world.
We continue on 22th December 20:30 pm with the Christmas Concert, by the Mendellssohn Orchestra Quintet, a point of excellence in Neapolitan chamber music. For the Il Canto di Partenope festival, they present a magical evening featuring traditional Christmas songs and unique reinterpretations of famous songs, creating an atmosphere that combines technical mastery with the joy of the soul. The evening will feature the participation of some singers from the PRICOMUSICA academy who will take turns to make the concert even more exciting.
Il 27th December at 20:30 pm one of the most internationally appreciated classical pianists will perform: Genny Basso. Born in 1984, he obtained the nomination as Young Artist Of The Year by Opus Klassik with his first album. His music has enchanted Europe from Paris to Berlin, passing through Spain, and will finally stop in Naples with a piano recital dedicated to the city and its music. The concert will be opened by a young pianist from PricoMusica: Martina Traini.
The penultimate appointment will be the 28th December with the concert Convivência which was born from the meeting between Gabriele Mirabassi, one of today's greatest clarinet virtuosos and the singer Rosanna Mennella, and has its roots in South American popular music, drawing a parallel with the music of the South, starting from the musicality of Sergio Bruni.
The festival will close on 29th December with “La notte dei cantautori”: concert evening with three young singers under 35 who will open the main event with a surprise guest from the Neapolitan singer-songwriter scene. The singer-songwriters who will perform are Verrone, KP and Aiyana.
