The preliminary hearing has been set for February 23rd regarding the four people residing in Capua, arrested last July at the request of the public prosecutor Gerardina Cozzolino and by order of the investigating judge Daniela Vecchiarelli of the Court of Santa Maria Capua Vetere.
They are accused of having been part of a group dedicated to the arson of rivals' cars. The subjects involved are Claudio Sinapi, 62, owner of a gym and currently under house arrest, his wife Annamaria Fortino, 52, defended by the lawyer Giuseppe Stellato, Renaldo Likaj, 26, and Gazmir Shahu, 39, both Albanians, defended by the lawyer Paolo Di Furia.
The investigation was launched following threats made by Mr. and Mrs. Sinapi to the owner of a house, who then allegedly turned to the Albanians to organize the arson attack. Numerous cars were set on fire.
The aim was to obtain the neighbors' house at a price much lower than its real value. Sinapi and Fortino are also accused of continued stalking, as, in execution of a common criminal plan, they repeatedly intimidated and seriously threatened the victim's family, defended by lawyers Gaetano and Raffaele Crisileo.
They had threatened him with phrases like “If your father is not willing to sell the house, I will take other measures with the help of third parties” e “You better get out of here! I’ll take care of you personally!” .
They threatened and harassed neighbors and their family members in a way that caused them severe fear and apprehension for their safety and that of their loved ones.
