The residents of Via Maddalena in Napoli they sent a photo complaint to the member of the Green Alliance – Left Francesco Emilio Borrelli, to denounce the state of profound degradation in which the road finds itself on the night of the Epiphany.
Tons of waste lie abandoned on the street until it invades the carriageway. At the same time, the waste bins are shockingly empty.
“We are faced with an unacceptable paradox that often occurs on this street and in the surrounding areas,” commented Borrelli. “Waste of all kinds abandoned on the sidewalks and on the roadway while the garbage bins remain unused. In this case, it is quite clear that it is largely cardboard and packaging used by commercial businesses and dumped illegally on the street.
The sale of socks has made the situation worse. To the packaging we then add the bags of unsorted waste and organic waste of some residents who, instead of taking a few steps to regularly dispose of them, prefer to dirty the streets of their neighborhood.
An uncontrolled incivility that is fueled by the holding of illegal markets and must be contained through the timely sanctioning of all those, whether traders or residents, who abandon waste in the street, also providing for extraordinary cleaning shifts by Asia". These are Borrelli's words.
