From today, “AMEN”, the new album by Oyoshe, a Neapolitan rapper and producer, is available on all digital platforms.
The album is released by two independent labels, Magma Music and Time 2 Rap and was preceded by the singles “Txttxppxst” and “Bestia”.
“AMEN” acronym for “We Exist in the World”, is a hip hop albums which ranges between classical and contemporary sounds, reflective and emotional atmospheres but also angry and captivating, and refers to one of the fundamental characteristics of rap: sending a message.
Oyoshe's rap is a mirror of his life and commitment is part of it given his constant social activity, in particular the hip hop workshops he holds in juvenile prisons, schools and countries afflicted by serious hardships such as the Gaza Strip (to which he dedicated the song "Bestia").
In “AMEN” Oyoshe mainly talks about his life experiences, switching from rhymes in Neapolitan dialect to others in Italian, between cinematographic and literary quotes, metaphors and storytelling. If the flow shines for expressiveness, the metrics stands out for their complexity, after all Oyoshe has done many years of apprenticeship in hip hop and, in addition to having earned the respect of the environment, has increasingly refined his technique.
The guests of “AMEN” are Speaker Cenzou, Livio Cori, Lucariello, Kiave, Luca Spenish, Drimer, Fabio Musta, Dj Snifta and the American rapper Copywrite.
"'AMEN' – says Oyoshe – wants to collect that 'we' that nourishes the need to reflect itself in a music that wants to excite and give courage, so as to be able to say 'We are here', in a distracted society in which we are increasingly disposing of content to give priority to results and statistics. I put all of myself into a mix of emotions, messages, and hip hop music”.
The release is accompanied by the music video for the track “Metà Strada”, directed by Gianmaria Fiorillo.
