During an operation last night, officers from the Vicaria-Mercato Police Station arrested a man at Porta Capuana for drug trafficking.
The man was caught while selling drugs to a person in exchange for money, after taking doses from a small box placed in a shutter of an abandoned warehouse in Piazza San Francesco.
The police intervened promptly to interrupt the criminal activity, managing to block the man with a quantity of cocaine and hashish, along with cash, which appears to be the proceeds of the sale of illicit substances. In addition, another box containing additional doses of cocaine was discovered
. Once taken to the police station, the man showed aggressive behavior, damaging a chair. He, a 28-year-old Guinean citizen with a criminal record, was arrested for drug trafficking, resisting the police, and damaging public property. The buyer was instead fined for possession of drugs for personal use.
