Arzano. A mountain of scrap, furniture, fixtures, paint, wood, plastic, asbestos and car parts: the Local Police discover an illegal landfill. Seizure and charges filed against unknown persons.
The Local Police's commitment against illegal waste dumping continues without stopping. The agents of the Municipal Police of Arzan, during targeted monitoring activities of the territory, they discovered an illegal landfill in the abandoned area of the former NaMet company well hidden by plants and hedges.
It is a space of about 300 square meters located on the very busy Corso Salvatore d'Amato where several tons of waste of various kinds were dumped. The discovery occurred following the constant monitoring operations of the territory.
The operation is part of the targeted activities to combat environmental crimes that are one of the objectives of the men led by Commander Biagio Chiariello regarding compliance with environmental regulations and checks on the regular disposal of waste.
At the end of the operations, the area was sealed and a report was sent to the Public Prosecutor's Office at the Court of Naples North, which validated the seizure. Now the area will be cleaned up at the expense of a well-known transport company (also owner of the adjacent area), restoring decorum to one of the points of the city.
Meanwhile, operations continue in the land of fires by the Arzano white helmets who have fined three "smart" citizens of wild waste for having exposed bulky materials without a reservation and in violation of environmental regulations.
The three "dirty" people were also forced to remove the waste at their own expense. Abandonment phenomena are now consolidated since the landfill, despite being located in a busy residential area, has never been reported.
