A daring chase took place last night in Qualiano, in the province of Naples. It all started when the Carabinieri of the Giugliano in Campania radiomobile section noticed a suspicious car in the Palazzo Nuovo area.
At the sight of the patrol, the driver accelerated, starting a chase that continued for several kilometers until the outer ring road. The wild ride ended when the car crashed into a guardrail.
The six occupants of the vehicle, presumably of Roma ethnicity, immediately abandoned the car and disappeared on foot into the surrounding countryside.
Further investigation revealed that the car had been stolen last month.
Inside the car, two crowbars, two shears, a hammer and other burglary tools were found and seized. The Carabinieri are now investigating to identify and track down the six fugitives.
