In Portici, four men were arrested by the State Police after attempting a burglary in a home and causing a car accident to escape the sight of the officers.

Having reached Corso Umberto I in Portici, the two occupants of the first vehicle caused a road accident, impacting a vehicle coming from the opposite direction and injuring an elderly couple on board.
The operators managed to block the perpetrators of the first vehicle, discovering that they were in possession of numerous burglary tools. In the meantime, the fugitives of the second vehicle, having arrived in via dell'Immacolata, abandoned the car and tried to escape on foot.

The police managed to stop two of them, while the third one managed to disappear.
Furthermore, it emerged that the four suspects had attempted to commit a burglary in an apartment in the residential park, also damaging the entrance door of the building.
The four, Neapolitans aged 47, 34, 42 and 27, with previous police records, were arrested for attempted improper robbery, resisting a public official and personal injury. The 42-year-old and the 27-year-old were also reported for unjustified possession of altered keys or lock picks.
