Sky has announced a hike in prices for sports and football packages starting from 1 June 2024.
According to information reported by Calcio e Finanza, the monthly cost of the package sport will increase by 6,90 euros, while the football package will increase by 3 euros per month for the Smart and Open price lists.
Smart subscribers will find themselves paying €22,90 per month for the sports package (compared to the previous €16), while Open subscribers will see an increase to €26,90 per month (from the previous cost of €20).
Regarding the previous prices, the sports package will increase by 7,99 euros per month (from 15,20 to 23,19 euros), while the football package will increase by 2,99 euros per month (from 5 to 7,99 euros).
This change marks the first price increase in seven years, with the last change occurring in 2021 when the cost of the football package dropped by 10 euros following the sale of Serie A TV rights to Dazn.
Sky This aligns with the industry trend, with many streaming and pay TV platforms deciding to increase the costs of their offers to subscribers.
