“There has been a very important pronouncement by the Council of State, I believe that the time has come to sign this cohesion agreement which is worth 6 billion euros given that a year has already passed in vain, we have already wasted too much time, there is no problem now in signing the agreement and moving forward”.
This was stated by the President of the Campania Region, Vincenzo De Luca, commenting on the ruling of the Council of State regarding the dispute between the Ministry of Cohesion and the Campania Region on development and cohesion funds.
“We are interested in completing the administrative process”, he added, recalling that “the Campania Regional Administrative Court said that it was the Government's duty to conclude the administrative process, the Council of State repeated it: that is, that an administrative process cannot last forever and since we are obviously talking about the Region's resources, the plan must be made by the Region and the Government must only verify that there are no contradictions with respect to the PNRR or anything else”.
And so De Luca concluded by stating: “Today there are all the conditions to work seriously and concretely, if you want seriousness and concreteness”.
