Antimo Petito, a 42-year-old entrepreneur originally from Sant'Antimo but resident in Casandrino, was shot in the legs in his office with four gunshots.
The attack took place yesterday afternoon at the headquarters of his car rental company with attached car wash, located in Sant'Arpino, on the border between Frattamaggiore, Grumo Nevano, Sant'Antimo and Sant'Arpino.
Investigators are investigating the matter and are not ruling out any leads. The man was taken to the hospital. His condition is not serious, and after stabilizing him, doctors operated on him to remove the bullets and recompose the fractures. He will be out for 30 days.
Meanwhile, after being interviewed by the Carabinieri, he declared that he had never received threats or extortion requests and that he could not explain the reasons for the attack against him.
The military also examined all the images from the surveillance cameras in the area to give a face and a name to the attackers.
