During an operation to seize counterfeit goods in the pedestrian area of Via Toledo in Napoli, two municipal police officers were injured due to obstruction by some passers-by, including Spanish tourists.

Around 17:00 pm, near the Banco di Napoli, the agents of the Avvocata Operational Unit stopped a non-EU citizen found in possession of counterfeit bags displayed on a sheet on the sidewalk.
The man resisted the seizure of the goods and attracted the attention of passers-by. Some of them, including the Spanish tourists, supported the man, helping him escape and preventing the officers from completing the intervention.
Municipal police officers injured
The officers reported lesions heal in six days. Investigations are underway to identify the fugitive and the people who obstructed the police action.
During the checks, the following were carried out: eight administrative seizures for a total of 1.355 counterfeit items.
