Marcianise is preparing to host two major cultural events on Saturday, June 18, both included in the program of “Il Maggio dei Libri,” a nationwide initiative aimed at promoting the practice of reading, sponsored by the Center for Books and Reading. This series of events is strongly desired by the current municipal management led by Mayor Antonio Trombetta.
Let's discover "Letture Per" and the intervention of illustrious guests
At the headquarters of Uniti Per, located in via Giovan Battista Novelli, a meeting called 'Letture Per' will start at 16.30:XNUMX pm. The event, the result of the collaboration between the Youth Forum of Marcianise and the associations Uniti Per, ZTL – Zerotensionilocali, Risvegli Culturali and L'Arca Cooperativa Sociale, will have among the protagonists the mayor Antonio Trombetta and the honorable Maria Luigia Iodice, involved both at the municipal and regional level.
Vincenzo Moretta, president of the Youth Forum, will open the meeting, followed by speeches by Domenico Cecere and Domenico Rosato, leading figures of the city associations. The event will include the reading of excerpts from the works of Gianni Rodari presented by representatives of the various associations involved in the organization.
“Onofrio Buccini and 800th Century Neapolitan Sculpture”: A Journey Through the History of Art
The second part of the evening, at 19.00:800 p.m., will take place in the hall of the Church of San Giuliano Martire. The Pro Loco Marthianisi will lead the audience through a series of readings selected from the volume 'Onofrio Buccini and the Neapolitan sculpture of the XNUMXth century', written by the architect Salvatore Costanzo.
Mayor Trombetta and the president of Pro Loco Marthianisi Michele Colella will act as hosts, while professors Tommaso Zarrillo and Francesco Piccolo will enrich the conversation with their knowledge.
