Delays, slowdowns and inconveniences for travellers on trains along the Bologna-Milan route due to two separate technical problems occurred in Emilia, at the station AV Medio Padana of Reggio Emilia and on the conventional line at Castelfranco Emilia (Modena).
On the High Speed line, trains accumulated delays of one to two hours due to a train breakdown at the Reggio Emilia Medio Padana station, which occurred shortly before 13 pm.
Traffic returned to normal after 15.38pm, but the event still had an impact on rail traffic: according to what was reported on the website of Trenitalia, slowdowns of up to 35 minutes were recorded for 16 high-speed trains and delays of between 50 and 85 minutes for 5 high-speed trains diverted onto the conventional line.
On the conventional Bologna-Milan line, traffic has been slowed since 14.45pm due to a fault on the line in Castelfranco Emilia, with high-speed and regional trains that can accumulate delays of up to 90 minutes.
The train FR 9532, departed from Napoli Centrale at 10.40 and headed to Turin Porta Nuova with arrival scheduled for 17, it recorded a delay of at least two hours.
