A young man was stabbed yesterday afternoon on the seafront in Salerno, while he was in the company of his girlfriend.
The man, who had previously harassed the couple, after being asked to move away, suddenly pulled out a knife and wounded the boy in the back of the head.
The police were immediately called and rushed to the scene to begin their investigation. Thanks to the description provided by the girlfriend and the analysis of the images from the surveillance cameras, the officers were able to track down and stop the alleged attacker in the alleys of the historic center.
The young man who was stabbed was rescued by 118 and taken to the hospital. His wounds, although serious, are fortunately not life-threatening.
An investigation has been opened into the episode to reconstruct the facts in detail and ascertain the responsibilities of the injurer.
