LEnrico Berlinguer's tomb, located in the Flaminio cemetery in Rome, has once again been vandalized. Bianca Berlinguer, daughter of the politician and journalist, reported the news on social media.
“In these forty years since my father's death, his grave has always been covered with flowers brought by many people who stopped for a thought and a tribute. This has been a great comfort for us children. However, in the last month the grave has been vandalized twice by someone, or more than one person: vases destroyed, flowers thrown and flowerbeds trampled. A vile and ignoble act”, wrote the journalist.
The Elly Schlein, secretary of the Democratic Party, commented on the incident: “Enrico Berlinguer’s tomb has been vandalized again. This is a vile and ignoble act. But this pushes us even more to preserve his memory, 40 years after his death.”
